Lares is located at the north of the Sacred Valley, covered with mysterious lands, whose ancient trails were used in Inca times to cross the eastern Andes. In Lares, we can see snow-capped mountains some of which whose waters give form to splendid emerald lagoons and others which feed hot springs.
Since immemorial times, Andean shepherds and shearers Andean living in these areas have accompanied the grazing of their llamas and alpacas with the melodious sound of their flutes, dressed in traditional clothing and the respective colors that emphasize life en the mountain highlands.
This is the place that is offered for travel, with high mountain peaks, unique lake formations, hot springs, wild animals, andean traditions and areas of diverse life.

Day 1.- Cusco – Calca – Lares Hot Springs – Cuncani
We will leave from Cusco early in the morning heading toward the Sacred Valley. Once there, we will take a relaxing bath in the hot springs located in the community of Lares. There we will spend the morning until we have lunch. After lunch we will have to walk about 2 hours to arrive at our resting place where we will have camp.
Day 2.- Concany – Epsaycocha
The next day, we are going to continue uphill until we arrive at the Huacawasi community. In this place, the people produce fine fabrics and we can see their great skills and brilliant techniques in the fabrication of ponchos and other garments.
After we pass the village, we are going to climb untill we arrive to the Abra de Condorpasa, which lies at an altitude of 4110 meters above sea level. From here, we will have an amazing view of Veronica, a snow capped mountain with an altitude of 5752 meters above sea level. From here, we descend to the beautiful lake of Epsaycocha. This will take an hour and we will make our final camp in this gorgeous place.
Day 3.- Epsaycocha – Machu Picchu
Large rock formation and, almost at the end, we will travel past beautiful lakes and landscapes that include an original Inca trail. This Inca trail connects the Lares Valley with the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Finally, we will descend to the community of Patacancha and Willoq where our bus awaits us to carry on to Ollantaytambo town. There we will take the train to Machu Picchu.
Day 4.- Machu Picchu – Cusco
7:00 am. We go to the bus station to take the tourist bus that goes to sacred citadel of Machu Picchu. This is a short 20-minute trip on a steep dirt road winding through a mountain with stunning views. When we arrive at Machu Picchu, we will visit different areas of great importance in the company of our local tour guide. Later, you will have free time to explore the citadel on your own.
Around 1:00 pm, we will take the bus back to Machu Picchu Town (Aguas Calientes) where we will have lunch and, around 4:00 pm, take the train back to Cusco. This journey will take around 4 hours so we will arrive in Cusco around 8:00 pm. Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. End of tour.
